Another winning painting, San...I like it's bold style too. We have been watching that "Monet" show too....I rather enjoy it but admit there are some rather "individual" pieces of art/sculpture that have been brought in by contestants. The artists sure get a grilling...not sure I could withstand that kind of evaluation of anything I had made/created!

I enjoy a bit of painting too, and as you say, there's always something going on that needs our attention. Wish I could spend more time doing it too. At the moment, between trying to fit in the things I enjoy doing, I've been making jewellery, which I find very relaxing. :o)

nice to hear your arty to linda and jewellery sounds fun, i went round to one of our clients house today after work, she started when she was 40 painting, self taught and very good to, showed me alot of her work which was fun, she is about 80 plus now and still loves painting.

I had my first tin of paints bought for me by my Dads friend when I was about 3 or 4yr old. When my children were born I used to paint all the cartoon characters for them. Never been clever enough to paint scenery though, so about 3yrs ago, sent away and joined an artist club, as I also fancied dabbling with water-colours, of which I'd never tried before. To join the club cost about £22/25 a year membership. I had a few samples, such as a video and things. I get a free magazine every 3mths along with a catalogue of the things they sell. In the magazine one of the artists will paint a picture for you to copy, called, 'Try Your Hand At,' and I've done a couple of them, which haven't been too bad. Now birthdays and xmas etc my family buy me arty things, which they say I am now a lot easier to buy for. Lol. :o))
