Thanks everyone, the pond plants havent come to life yet really, just the odd lily, so some colour on the banks is useful.

Looks lovely now Dawn great job you done of making this pond to me its a lake must of taken ages for it to be dug out.

Hi Skip. Yes, we dug it ourselves about 9 years ago and then last year re-dug it to get rid of all the bulrushes that were taking over, slowly establishing itself again.

Thanks Sixpence. Yes, the re-dig took 14 solid days and then was left with piles of solid clay.

they have refered to it a few times .............. its very pretty ........... i love wild flowers high lights on sun i think

Awww missed them referring to it at the show. It does pack an impact even though the flowers are small but lots of them.

Yes Marg, we've done everything ourselves, trial and error but slowly looking OK. Husband did the bridges and I do the planting.
