Well caught Gee , I'll have to loook out for an old stool if it keeps the big boys away , I tacked a very small plastic dish onto a stick thinking the bigger birds wouldn't be able to land but they still manage it somehow :o(

The mealworms and fat granules just fly off the plate so to speak. Very good freeze picture. Not easy with digital Gee. The woodies scour about the soil under the feeders and sling it on the path. Lost count of how many times I've brushed the mess back and hoed under the feeders.

I've just bought a 'no grow' type of bird food. I will watch and see what happens, it certainly gets eaten quick enough :)

That could be a bonus..guess its sterile seed. Wish someone would invent a seed catcher that fits on our pole and is big enough to catch the droppings!!

My niger seeds are growing, lots of it. Wonder what it looks like as a plant?

Lulu, we get lots of growth..always thought niger was sunflower seed, but we havent ever pulled up anything other than types of grass!

Time will tell! A bit late maybe to be cultivatiing Sunflowers!!
