A little bit of TLC wouldn't go amiss, but I draw the line at being heavily mulched with well rotted manure! . . . lol.

Yeah, thanks Sgbabe - all we need are pointy hats, beards and fishing rods, then we'd grace any-one's garden pond - guaranteed to scare Herons off. . . lol!

26 May, 2011
Sixpence! You got me! . . . lol.
Do you find it amusing too, how threads of conversation/banter weave through different pages on the site? :-))
26 May, 2011
I find the site has seldom banter Mark only allowed for certain ones here now, shame really, and I don't think I shall miss it either.

Lovely photo. Wish I could grow a couple of perennials like that - they could do all the heavy work in my garden :) Glad you enjoyed your day out at Holker Hall - used to have regularly holiday in the Lake District but never visited it.
27 May, 2011
Thanks Gill, only problem is they wilt in the sun and need Pimms to revive them!
27 May, 2011
Sounds like too much pampering to me, MW, I think a burst of cold water from the hose works better :)
27 May, 2011
Lol! :-(
27 May, 2011
MWalter, you and dad look quite the lads resting up on the bench. You do look alike as well :)
I don't think we've visited Holker Hall (Is that near the caves? seems to trigger a memory of somewhere we visited when our kids were small...adults now!)
I've just been talking about Pimms to my friend, plotting to sit in her conservatory/garden when the weather warms up and have a refreshing drink and watch her garden lights twinkle as it goes dark :)
27 May, 2011
Tut tut Whistonlass, I've heard some excuses in my time for having a Pimms, but I've never heard THAT one before . . . (shall add it to my list!). ;-))
27 May, 2011
Which one is which Muddy!!!!!!! Lol.
27 May, 2011
Grandmage, I thought all gardeners know that eyebrows only flower on old wood!!! . . . lol. ;-))
28 May, 2011
So! Which one is which then!!! Lol. :~)
28 May, 2011
Your smiles are just infectious and sweet (think your dad will like that too?!) and I think that is what has got everyone going!!! When I first saw the pic, it made me smile as well. If I were there, I would give you both a big squeeze ha ha. :-)

What's this about banter not being allowed here Sixpence? That's news to me. But then again I've been away a long time.

As long as they are fed and watered should be around for years.
