think that one and Gertrude Jekyll are my favourites at the moment for perfume. Please Muddy can you name me some more with strong perfume, the OH likes roses which smell nice. He keeps complaining that the ones I have do not smell like the one at the back door. Not good he says all roses should smell nice. I have space for about three more bush roses if I use a large shoe horn.

Another shoe horn coming out here... All your roses are beautiful. Where do you buy them from?

Hahaha Oliveoil, I think all gardeners have green fingers and large shoe-horns! Take a look at Felicite Parmentier, Comte de Chambord and Buff Beauty - all 'old' roses with wonderful perfume. David Austin produces many sweet smelling roses, I only have two, Sweet Juliet and Geoff Hamilton because I've run out of room, but I would dearly love more.
You could always expand your choice by growing 'short' climbers up a post or similar support and still only take up the same ground space?

Marshmallow, I bought all of my roses bare-rooted from David Austin (with enough mycorrhizal fungi to get 'em going).

Oh, that's gorgeous! Have to have!

I can't praise this rose highly enough CS. If I was only allowed to have one rose, it would have to be 'De Rescht' or 'Félicité Parmentier'. In fact, that would be like choosing your favourite child - an impossible choice!
