Been waiting for ages for this lovely rose. Its in a pot in the shaded garden and it stands out beautifully on the white walls. Lovely scent too! This rose doesn't mind quite a bit of shade, but it does get some sunshine in the afternoon.

It's a climber Cinders, but not a huge one. I'm so thrilled to have found it....saw it on another garden on here....think it was Giroffle's garden if I remember rightly and it was growing in shade and I thought...AHA! a rose for a shady spot, perfect! And it is!

Thanks Donna! How is your garden coming along?

It's like a beautiful peace of art, almost like a sculpture.

Thanks Poodle. I thought it very beautiful myself when I saw it on someone else's pics. You get such inspiration on here don't you?! Great!

Very classy!

Yes, that's true, Karensusan, sometimes a bit too much for the size of my garden. My lawn has 'shrunk' once again last week and I've already run out of room for new plants!

I am at the 'simplifying' and 'getting rid of' stage too poodle. Today I 'got rid of' a large helleborus that I wasn't keen on, and a huge clump of geranium johnson's blue which though lovely , is a thug and doesn't flower for long.

Sarah loved it too, not in stock at moment though. Well it wasn't the other day will order it for bare root planting later on in year, we love it.
:o))))))))))

Oh, that's a pity, but then it will give you something to look forward to for next year! :)

Certainly will, have another idea for a climbing arch up the longest path about 2/3rds of the way up towards the driveway, still a plan in progress at moment, too hot anyway to do any gardening, sat indoors waiting for Sky TV man to come and install satellite dish etc. EXCITING Sports channels YAY!!!!!!!¬ I made the decision Paul dilly dallies too much on that sort of thing. So I said to Sam order it for us while you are here and then I shall get the right one. I am hopeless with press this tick that on internet shopping. I just pay lol.

Ah, good for you! You'll love it. Are you getting the HD box..we have it and the pics on sport are brilliant. It has been so so so grey here today, like November, no real daylight....about 12C and I've got the heating on. Forecast says it will continue like this for the whole of July...I may go absolutely mad ;)) ...not just a bit mad like I am now....REALLY mad! :))

Man came tonight, we cannot have Sky here, too many trees, why do they not tell you that you need to have the satellite dish pointed in a certain direction, before you complete and pay for your order. We could only have it if they put up a huge pylon pole sort of thingy in the garden and it was not a definite even then that we could get a signal. Cancelled the order and am so disappointed.
It has been so unbelievably hot today, I have been in doors hiding from it, no air absolutely stifling. The thermometer said 110 degrees early this morning, raining at the moment, feels a bit better, we have been sat out in the garden under the umbrella (whilst it was raining) trying to cool down.
Does Callum go back to see his surgeon tomorrow? Hope he is Ok.

Yes, we are going to the hospital today. That's really disappointing about the sky...never mind, more trips to the pub to watch the sport....we had the central heating on last night! At least it is not raining this am, and I even saw some blue sky. No sunshine yet though..suppose that's too much to expect at the end of June!! Will let you know results of hospital visit later xx

I grow this on my shady wall (with Blairii No.2) and it's performing wonderfully well in this, its second summer.
Great photo Karen. :-))
