Since the sneaky spider perched on it for 2-3 days it has sprouted really well. A symbiotic relationship?. Perhaps it needs the spider to kick start its growth.

It's in it's little starter pot Lulu and see how it goes. I noticed a picture recently of a 28 year old oak planted by Princess Diana in Canada. It was rather large. I planted this little oak last September, after I found it in the lawn next to a Hazel seedling. Both babies doing well.

I think mine grew to about 3' in 3 years!!!

That little spider certainly wove some magic to cause growth like that! I've never tried bonsai - will watch yours with interest.
