Low-growing clematis, flowers over a long period. Good for a container or a short shrub. This one is on a short obelisk about 1m tall.

Have to say, this is the best it's ever been, not a great producer of flowers or particularly stunning...but these three blooms are lovely.

Thanks Crissue..the rain has washed them away now I'm afraid :(

Oh shame :((( ....I finally got my delivery today of the Clematis I was waiting for, the poor man couldn't find the address yesterday...anyway all unpacked and standing out for air, and now a little rain...Crystal Fountain has got three buds on, so once in the ground they'll get the chance to develop...
I've also got the catalogue.... :)))....just to browse...lol..

Now where have I heard that before....

I wouldn't know... :))))) Hi Tetra....

Ah, Crystal Fountain is so pretty! One of those clematis that I would challenge any garden lover to leave in flower in the GC! I certainly didn't....saw it, bought it!!

Along with many others Karen..Lol!!

Since it's been out soaking up the rain...one of the flower buds has started to open...how's that then, :)) so I'm getting a glimpse already...

Exciting! :))) No flowers on mine this year Crissue....I will keep moving them and upsetting them!

That's gorgeous Karen (glad you were having a sunny day too!). Looking forward to seeing pics of the new Clem Crystal Fountain Crissue. :))

Yes, we do occasionally get sight of the sun.....occasionally...not today though :(

Well it's Crissue's BLOOMER day today....After leaving the Clematis in their positions ready for planting...I saw the day was going to be a fine one, so I set about getting them settled...Only after I planted did I realise that I planted the White Armandii in the place where I originally intended the Apple Blossom for, and vis versa..the Crystal Fountain is in its correct place...I thought oh well things happen for reasons, and i'm not changing it....I then decided that the Heuchera that I only recently found the name for, and hadn't grown very much in it's two years could be lifted and split, half to go into a planter and half back in Compost filled planting hole in the border, as per Denise post to me...I dug it up, went about splitting it, and ended up with six plants, and two rooted stumps...not what I intended, so the two stumps are back in the ground and the six 'new ' plants are in compost in pots...Not sure whether I'm glad or not....but am not doing any more gardening today lol...
The good news is there are two blooms opening on the Crystal Fountain, so a photo will be coming when they've opened, Sheila...:))))

YAY! I love splitting plants!

Lol...me too normally Karen...but it wasn't quite what I'd planned...:))...I can see the funny side of it now...
22 Jul, 2011
Me too! I have split Hakenachloa macra several times, and it doesn't mind a bit, lol!
Thanks Sue . . . that's quite an energetic day you had there. Now have a sit down, and pour yourself a nice glass of red. :)))
