Please can I have a bog Garden ?

Love this plant. Have had to put some serious protection around it as the slugs and snails have a feast on it.

Duh! another responsibility!! Why doesnt someone breed slugs that love dandelions and stinging nettles, rosebay willowherb and spurge!!!

Amy of course you may have a bog garden, your garden is much larger than ours!! thanks ladies and yes the snails love them, have left Le Frog to eat them and so far so good..... Tet they grow up to 3ft.......there are several varieties to choose from now, but most requiring damp ground.

This is my favourite Ligularia Dentata..it's a stunner. Mine grew to about 6 feet tall in my old garden.

It's a wonderful plant...fantastic architectural foliage, nice upright growth, purple under the leaves and those beautiful big daisies.....brilliant!

Favourite of mine too Paul! Grew alot from seed, hopefully next year they'll begin to establish around the pond.

Yes Dawn - added the rocket on ponds edge the other day - being have water tubs and it gets quite boggy there too - plus hoping it will shade of the pond somewhat :))))) The przewalskii actually in quite drier conditions but survives pretty well :)))))

Paul have just noticed they have a Little Rocket now.....we have two more varieties in the garden, they do well by our little pond.
5 Jan, 2012
Oh yes they're beauties - my perfect planting big leaves over a pond - we have a little pond - planted mine there too, due to the fact also the pond overflows and really wets soil around the edge
