Thanks Cinders..I did a bit of an experiment this year, and planted some in sun, some in shade..they have all grown and flowered well, but these in the shade are the ones flowering better the 2nd time around...glad yours are doing well too ..
Thank you Paul..it is a lovely shade of blue..I have just looked in my RHS book, and it looks like one called 'Lambrook Mauve' ? Why Mauve,I don't know..!

Lovely pic Bloomer. I've had a p.nothern lights flowering solidly for ever (exageration) it's a fantastic plant. Aren't the individual flowers beautiful too:-)

Thanks Ba..Is your's a similar colour to mine ? The one in my book looks like mine, but it is only a guess..maybe it could be the same as yours..

I did put a pic on Bloomer a while ago if you'd like a peek? Northern Lights starts off more of a pale blue then darkens slightly...far more blue than my old ones and a much better shape, no support needed. Yours does look like mine though. Anyway, of course you'd have Northern lights:-)

Just had a look at your pic,Ba..it could be the same, and mine does darken slightly when its ready for dying off.but I thought mine might be 'Lambrook Mauve..'as it looks like that as well,in a RHS book..oh,well,whatever it is,we love it anyway, don't we? and I agree,it should be Northern Lights ! Lol.

On Claire Austins site it says soft mauve pink for Lambroke mauve and it says spring flower! Northern lights is a lovely ice blue at the start and I think it is my star plant this year. I wonder if it will split?:-))

Northern Lights it is then,Ba..definitely not mauve pink is it ? Thanks for checking somewhere else for it..and yes,it will split..I did that with mine when it had made a decent clump, and this year is the first time they have got so big..as I wanted them in lots of places, and also gave some to other people..so they are now all well established, and they soon make a lot of growth..I wonder how big they will get if I leave them? ..one of my star plants too..:o))
