Front of house border

Front of house border

Have been re-vamping the front border and taking out an old fence panel which was blocking the light from the side of the house, taken up the gate and moved it further up the path, work in progress, re-sited gate to where the new path leads down to the peace garden (next photos) oops forgot they loaden backwards way on, so -(previous photos)if you see what I mean, senile moment.

That looks much better....the front garden looks so much prettier now and is not separate from the rest of your garden..great idea!

Thank you Karensue and Lulu, it is much better - just been out and fixed (hopefully) the gate post in position with cement post stuff. It looks ok. it will look better still if the honeysuckle I have planted grows up the post and covers it. It is a red one - fingers crossed off to water it in. Rain has not appeared YET!!

It looks lovely Olive, but it always does.

Honeysuckle will be a great success...they always are!

Thank you Rose.

I used to have a red honeysuckle Karen can you remember it, Grandad Syd Wilson gave it to me it was a beauty but for some reason it died no idea why. I can remember there used to be those really big pink and brown Elephant Hawk-moths on it. Maybe you were at College then though. But it used to smell absolutely divine. Hope this one does better.

Does it look bigger to you...it certainly flows through better I think...never know what it looks like till you change it...:)))

Yes it does flow better, the only reason I fenced it there was to stop people walking across the garden instead of the path, they used to trample the bulbs set in the grass down and I wanted it to look better, lazy some people. Still have it fenced off higher up the pathway though now hope it still stops them going on the grass. Think it will work though. Think they got the message. lol. Although not a lot of grass there at the minute because of all the dry weather it is quite a dry area and the heat has killed most of it off. It will survive I am sure after this drop of rain.

yes you're right...a drop of rain works wonders...
