Really unusual colour - never seen one like it before. Like it!

It's a beautiful plant even without the flowers, isn't it! It should be lovely when it does flower.

Yes, it looks ever so much like a begonia from here.

I suppose it does look begonia-ish, Karen. :-) I fancy tracking down a hardy begonia - I've seen photos of them.

Did you see the pic of it....lovely pale pink flowers and gorgeous dark green leaves, beautifully marked.....I think she is sending some out to people when the tubers are dormant..if you ask nicely...she may have some left?

I lost my 10 yr old B. sutherlandii last winter :o( it had bright orange flowers and lovely deep green leaves with redish veination.

Ooops! Can you take cuttings off them, or is it a case of splitting them?
