Oh wow, a purple Rugosa? It's lovely. Similar colour to Rhapsody in Blue rose.

It's such a good colour! I am on the lookout for a smallish yellow rose to go next to my 'rhapsody in blue'.

Im sure Tet has a special one Lulu but I have forgotten its name.

Gorgeous garden meadowland, i agree with everyone about the colour of the rose, my favourite colour at the minute, Can i see a Trachycarpus at the back? looks Beautifull, Lovely big trunk, another favourite of mine..

Oh wow, what a memory Meadowland, I think we all know what we were doing on that day, so sad..
Mine was about 2foot whan i planted it about 8 years ago i think, not as tall as yours yet, the trunk is only about 3ft but its lovely and thick, and hairy, but the fronds are huge, there taller than the fence now, so about 6ft. for the first time last year i didnt protect it! Had to be the worst winter i have known, apart from knocking the snow off a couple of times it sailed through, Phew, I love my Trachy lol..

PS, i wouldn't mind seeing a pic of the trachy closer up if you have one :)

Are you sure it isn't Rhapsody in blue as it looks just like it. It is such a pretty colour. Mine is on its third flush.You have a really lovely garden.

Me too Meadowland, thank you. After seeing lots of gorgeous roses on Goy, I just had to have some. Ordered a nice selection of shrub and ground cover roses.
