I had similar fushia that my late father gave to me in 1988. I had to dig it up because it became the favourite toilet place of next door's cats. Not only that, I never knew that the plant would get so big and started messing with next doors damp course . No plant now but still have happy memories of my dad

Mine's not massive, about 18" - 2' high but it never gets any taller. Maybe it's a different type to the one you had?

I love these plants, they come back every year, tell me how do you manage yours? do you cut them right down after floweing??

I leave well alone until about end of March/beginning of April, then I cut back all the 'woody' bits. Seems to work for them.
