A rescue plant my neighbor wanted to throw away. Fortunately it grows outside, facing east. Now I have these flowers that are 12" tall.

You and I are lucky that a lot of the "houseplants" can thrive outside in our climates.

Yes, we do have many tropical trees and plants which grow very well outdoors here.

Georgous! We had philodendron many years in my parentsĀ“house. It became almost like a tree, a huge one. But did not have enough place (as once Fran said, our neighbour upstairs could complain), so we gave it to the Botanic garden. But it never bloomed. I wonder why...

Beautiful photo! I have several flowers on my plant, too.
This plant can grow huge here in San Diego, CA.
The fruit is very good, tasting like pineapple...if the ants to don't get to them first. :>)
