Your pond (and the rest of your garden) looks amazing - we dug a wildlife pond in our garden in 2010 - we were lucky that no liner was needed - we allowed it to settle and started adding plants in 2011 - alas - with the plants came duckweed which we are now trying to flush out.

Sorry to hear about your duck weed, what a shame. We've not had it (touch wood) but then again we have a bit of a flow from our pond as any excess water runs down an open ditch back to the brook so maybe the movement of water prevents it.
