Lucky you, I would love one in my garden

He's a nice one too! Hope you have a few slugs in the garden for him. I like toads more than frogs as they crawl rather than jump, I'm always startled by frogs. Great photo btw

love toads and frogs Dotty, toads like damp spots more than water so at least you wont find him dead in pond over winter like me with my frogs Dotty, he will burry himself somewhere moist under the soil for protection, clever really, no more slugs for you :o)

Amy I am hoping he/she will bring in a few more mates, as I do hate using slug pellets, the pond is a pellet free area..... he is isn't he Cinders, at the last count we had 4 frogs, makes me wonder where do they come from?
Lulu there is something about toads isn't there? thanks Rayd they sure are..
San what is the best way to avoid that happening? thanks TT.

Dotty this year i have made hide aways for my frogs in hope they go inside them rather than the pond. when we had the porch done there were a couple of edging tops if you know what i mean in slate, the pieces that go at the point of the porch roof. or you can use medium size pots half burried on their side and put some damp leaves in, apparently they look for places like that, place them under plant life to protect them from weather, extra warmth.you can buy frog houses but rather expensive for what they are, i asked baz to make them but still stuck on his list haha :o)
