I took a lot of pictures like this while driving across Pennsylvania. Just got home after 14 hours of driving so I'll have to post more later

14 hour drive!? You must be worn out!
But those colours, it is just stunning! What a wonderful picture, thank you for putting these on.

It was the first time I drove through Pennsylvania and the color was incredible. I never got bored on the drive and a lot of the pictures were taken out the window at 70mph haha. It's too bad there wasn't more places to stop and admire the scenery but I got out to take pictures every chance I had.

you wicked driving photographer you!!! they ought to have stopping places for you to take the photos. if this was taken at 70 its a pretty good picture.
are you happy with the new camera? obviously it takes photos at speed!!! and good colours!!!

I borrowed a camera from my dad for the trip because I wanted to give it a test drive to see if I liked it. It does take pretty good photos considering the speed haha. It takes great close-up pictures but it could take better shots of distant landscapes.

i love to take close ups but also like the landscape ~ better not tell your dad you road tested it at 70 !!!

It's okay, the speed limit there was 65mph so I wasn't going much over. I forgot that you guys probably go by kph, not sure how big of a difference it is. I hate the US system, it doesn't match anyone else.

no, we use mph!!!!!
it was more the taking photos while you were driving that i thought was worrying!!
it does happen here and certainly the speeding does [i have been caught twice!] the police are now borrowing unmarked large lorries so they can look down from the cab into cars to check on people using phones [etc] while driving!!!

I wasn't actually driving while taking the pictures, I was passenger. It's only illegal in a few States to use cell phones while driving (not illegal in Michigan)...kind of a troubling thought!

seems strange to have one law for one state and a different one for another state?? what happens in an appeal??
14 Oct, 2011
if I had an appeal in New York, I'd have to fly/drive all the way there for the case. It's kind of frustrating when different states have very different laws. In Michigan most fireworks are illegal but they are perfectly legal in the states around us.

Can you go to a high point and watch from there? We used to do that ~ went to the top of the hills near here and could watch the big display put on by Birmingham City Council ~ no charge for looking from a distance!!!
