it was very strange..just went to a white screen...think it could have been something to do with Firefox really,and not GoY..

MAYBE I DUNNO..ijsut got some threaat email..not quite sure whats going in here :0

I found out it was Firefox,Pixi,as daughters partner had the same problem on the one at work,at that time..funny you should say that,as about 30 minutes ago,we had a phone call,saying they were going to disconnect my computer,as we were using their signal! We are with a package on Sky..so knew it was a scam..it was an asian sounding guy,and I heard him saying to someone else"they are on Sky".!.I rang anthony,( daughters partner) and he checked the number..they are trying to sell anti virus stuff,so were going to ask for details..possibly to infect ? He didn't get that far,as we told him to 'go away'!! This is the number,just in case you get one..they are doing the rounds ,apparently...
It is 09999 100 117..I checked the call..

I gt calls all the time from various scams etc..i dont even let them get passed the first few lines..go away! or words to taht affect lol.
I'll watch out for that one.
Can never be too careful on the initernet eh? some weird people about.

Its not often I get any,Pixi..but they are a nuisance..I am a lot better at getting rid of them,than OH .! Are you registered with the TPS? it helps to weed them out a lot..worth doing..

Sometimes I tell them I am registered and then they hang up! Might just do a wee( look..I can speak Scottish ,Lol) blog,to let other goyers know ?

Im registered with TPS Bloomer but I still get lots of calls and they always seem to happen when Im half way up the stairs or in the garden. I got so fed up one day (OH couldnt understand a word they said) that I took the phone, said a very sweet "good afternoon" and then told them to bog off..but a bit worse..shocked OH and actually shocked myself..but I was soooo mad! Trouble is, its random computer dialling, so you get someone different each time even if same company. If I left phone off hook Pixi I would end up forgetting to put it back..mmm maybe not a bad idea!

Ah,so that's how it works,Tet..I have just asked this on my 'Warning 'blog...I like your response..tell it how it is girl !.

Bloomer, we have had TPS for years, we are also ex directory, so I am assured by our provider that random dialling is the cause. However, the Data Protection act is pretty toothless..tell me, how do you know if anyone has breached the act? Could you prove that anyone you have given details to have not sold your address or tele.no to some direct marketing business like they used to. Granted, I think the big banks, utilities and Government dont (unless they lose a CD with our details on!!) break the Act, but how can you trace these "network" calls when you cannot get a phone number? Im sick of hearing the recording "sorry this call is from a network..."

How did I miss this? And now it's all gone!

Same as me,Sticki..I miss lots of pics too...and thank you..Might be having friends over for the weekend,depending on the weather..so will probably make another for tea on Friday...and that will be it,cooking wise,as we will be going out to dine,after that..:o)
