Hi Troddles nice to meet another France dweller...
The pumpkin gave it away, and i had to check your profile...:)))

Lots of soup easy to make, and freezerable...and/or used as vegetables steamed or roasted...Love Pumpkin...very yummy and good for us too...:)))

Where we are Pumpkin is grown in abundance, and there has to be quite a few grown solely for Halloween, and the Village looks good, with them all shaped up, and sitting on walls etc...

Hi Karen, All fruit and veg is grown in abundance here, for the Grower, Family, friends and neighbours, and the rest go to the animals....nothing goes to waste...so I doubt a fridge was missed, even for the meat, animals owned were/are slaughtered as required...We found an interesting burial ground at our old house, consisting of Moules shells in abundance, and animal bones....etc....

Hi Crissue, good to meet you too. You have been in France about the same time us we have. It's the size of the pumpkin that is so daunting. We go to Spain (with our caravan) from December to March and clear the freezer so I start think of running it down with veg about now!
We shall probably eat what we can and distribute it in bits to friends, so it's roast pumpkin with the belly pork today then :-))

Hi Troddles...yummy love roast pork...yep we have loin today, fresh carrots etc from the garden...

Small world, we have a 'Swift' Caravan, tho registered in France (Carte Gris) haven't been away for more than a couple of weeks at a time, we have four cats and Chickens so it wouldn't work...but I don't blame you for going away, following the sun is good...Funny, we just put ours up for sale, we've only used it once this year, and OH hasn't had enough time off, to be able to book its been spur of the moment or nothing...))))) sadly nothing, but have enjoyed the weather here, and the garden....shame, I love caravanning, and we have added a lot to it over the years...
We live in a Rural Village...easy reach to Chinon and Saumer...pretty place...
Well enjoy what you can of your Pumpkin...nice talking to you...Enjoy your Sunday....
