This monstrosity was growing out of an old and rotten tree.
These were taken in Lavenham, Suffolk.

This is what they call Artist's bracket D.D. honey fungus is a lot smaller and rounder normally loads packed together..

if its the amadou type its used by fly anglers to dry thier dry flies its marvellous stuff & highly prized ,amazing stuff
