Don't worry, Fran, we have so many photos & blogs to keep up with that it's no surprise you get behind! I'm way-y-y-y behind & now I need to make up another blog on the allotments - when I can find the time! LOL!

lol I didn't see a note on the "comments" list, it was only because I happened to be flicking through my plant pics - wonder if comments on plants don't get listed? or of course, just that I didn't notice that it was. but your recent comment was listed in the "new comments" so I can't blame GoY, it must have been me, sigh.

I tried not coming online for two whole days - thought, I can either read about other people's grdens or I can get out there and work on my own, but I don't seem able to do both, and GoY is very more-ish! but there were so many blogs and photos to catch up on, as well as new comments on threads one is following - *s* took me even longer to work through than if I'd come on every day! so I need to work out a schedule: garden in the day, GoY in the afternoon/evening

Don't try to reply to every post, if you do it will become slavery & you won't enjoy being on GoY! I don't think most people expect to keep up with every photo/blog they comment on. I'm happy when people comment but I don't expect everyone in my favourites to respond to every photo/blog I upload!

When you do comment on a photo/blog you will see it when anybody else replies on your News page (Home page). When your favourite GoYers upload new photos or blogs then you will see them in the long list below the photos & then you can choose to click on them to read/see &/or post a reply. As I find myself with sooo little time I rarely click on photos but almost always on new blogs which I read & perhaps comment on. If one of my favourites has posted several blogs since I last read them I may only read the very latest entry. There just simply aren't enough hours in the day to read everything & reply to everything - so I no longer try!

lol I'm trying to find the right level, wobbling a bit back and forth till I find it. Prob is, I can do, or read about others' doing, but not both! I managed two whole days offline, but when I came back there were 30+ new blogs and photos from people on my fages list, and a yard of comments on threads I was following.

I don't comment on every thread, but I like to glance at 'em to see what's been said. And if a photo doesn't have a convo with it, just a list of "nice-pic"s and "thank-you"s I stop following it, cuts down the list a bit!

Plus there's my new library to sort, hundreds of books to sort and stack according to subject, author etc; and my craft table to set up and the craft stuff in the other cupboard to sort out - and I want to do some baking and freezing ... shee, how many hours in the day???
