Looks like Hibiscus rosa sinensis - makes a cracking house plant. Check out the local GC's - they're knocking them out cheap around here now.

i only wish it was mine meanie ~ there were a lot of flowers on theirs ~ i think it was rambling half way over the roof! thank you for the name ~ i shall have a look in the GC ~ bit of a change from poinsettia??!!
