Mourning Cloak Butterfly

I don't get to see a Mourning Cloak but maybe once a year if I'm lucky, so when this beauty visited for the whole afternoon I was thrilled ! They use willows for a host plant along with many other trees and shrubs.

Wow....how lovely, I've never seen this one before either ! You need to start a journal on all these exoctic looking beauties that grace your garden, or at least make a calendar with these little lovelies on it. I believe both would really sell ! I'd be first in line.
