Thanks Brian. That's too bad, this plant has been in flower since last April.

I wish that mine would bloom for that long!

Lucky you...I love it! I can grow it in France but I have to wrap it up long before now...

Very nice photo!
Yes, I've never seen the giant plants along the freeways and in the parks and everywhere else out of bloom.

Thanks Delonix.
This plant has been flowering from last April (when I received it as a gift) and hasn't stopped.
I'm sure everything looks fantastic all year around with the climate you have.

Plumbago, even when I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area would bloom all year.

I love it Delonix, it adds so much color to the garden.

It's nice seeing them blooming in the parks and along the freeways. I guess it's better than not having anything blooming at all...like in colder climates.

I haven't seen it here, Alex...in fact I haven't seen many blue flowers at all...
It's grown a lot on the French Riviera...the colour against the sunlight and the sea there is beautiful. Much like with you there in Corfu, I think! :)

Karenfranceafrica:
Cape Plumbago likes a drier climate. In wetter tropical climates they just don't bloom as well.

That's a shame Karen, I especially like blue flowers. Plumbago likes the climate here. Sounds like you're missing France.
I planted two French Lilac cuttings yesterday. I hope they root, the smell sooooo nice.

I like blue flowers too, Alex. I had a little area in my first garden in France which was only blue...I loved it.
Lilac...lovely! How about some lavender as well, Alex? I bet that would do well for you too.
Not doing too bad here...the French garden's asleep and the African one's just waking up. :)
You're lucky...you have an all year round garden!
I have seen a couple of purple flowers for sale, Delonix...but I have to bide my time until we've moved. Hopefully, you'll be able to tell me what they are when I get them! :)

Karenfranceafrica:
Just let me know...I'll do my best to identify them.

I have two lavender plants in the garden and two in front of the shops. I'm trying to add plants to the garden that my bees will like.
2 Dec, 2011
I'm sure that they will love the lavender...in my French garden they love all the salvias as well... :)
