I've lifted a couple of my Salvia today to store the tubers for the winter.

No probs - opinion seems a little divided on the lift or not issue, but as mine always die anyway it seems a no brainer........

We never lift ours Meanie they usually survive plus I collect the seed and grow more in the spring just in case the winter is so severe that they don't make it , they grow easily from seed ... I didn't realise the tubers were that long ....... they are one of my favourite plants I have them dotted about everywhere ...

I grow S.patens from seed too Amy. But as they never survive for me I figured that I would give the tubers a shot.
