Bought as a cheapie in DIY store and still as beautiful 2 years on.

I found the secret of success with these. I put the pot out in the summer, sheltered beneath another plant and obviously keep watered with rainwater. Then when the weather starts to cool (ha - it hasn't warmed up yet) - I bring it in and put on a windowsill - they need lots of light to flower and hey presto they flower, though not necessarily at Christmas - usually before and sometimes at other times of the year.

Aw Cam i have one of these-is it called a christmas cactus? Ive had mine atleast 4 years but only remember it havin tiny white flowers once. Are they supposed to flower every year do you know? Maybe mine needs repotting. Yours is fab! :D
