Clianthus puniceus (white form)

i was going to say delicate little thing but its quite a tough survivor!! even if it is an extremely mild winter, there are apples still on trees here ~ masses of them in some cases.

I am pleased to see flowers forming sort of as this is what I may have to look forward to..........

Me too - I only paid three quid each for these and they stood two metres tall! Reduced from nearly twenty quid each!

weird flowering, hellebores doing the same thing here....just waiting for a daff and a crocus!

£3 for something 2 metres tall?? i think thats a better bargain than mine!!

Yeah well, the white one lost a metre unfortunately as I struggled getting my haul to the tills before anyone else nabbed them! Paid for them, then asked the girl on the till to look after them so that I could go back to grab the other bargains that I'd hidden!

Got them from "very expensive garden centre" - went in for a look as I was passing and couldn't believe my luck!

i was wondering where you got them from but i did think its no good me going there ~ meanie will have got there first!!!

The prices they charge they can afford to flog a few off cheap!

they ought to run an event called plant [bargain] hunter ~ great spectator sport!!?? and the winner would of course get all he/she could manage to get to the tills in [nearly] one piece???

These grow here, too...just mostly in northern California.
