I love ferns, this one looks so unusual I can't make up my mind yet if I like it or not ...

It must grow wild there, also. The round tuber-like roots are very difficult to pull out of the ground...and it spreads!

I haven't seen it grow wild....but I could be wrong.
I don't mind it spreading too much, I like this fern. Besides....I can pull some out and give them away.

Once they get established, it's difficult to pull them out. They have a large round tuber (which stores water).

Honestly....when I planted it I did see the round tuber and I thought of your warning from the Asparagus fern (which I did keep in a pot). I hope I don't regret my decision.
