No Sticki ,I'm afraid not , I'm on antibiotics and pain killers and to top it all off I've put my neck out and can't move it ! it happened when I was trying to get into some kind of a position to sleep , it's impossible to lay down as it hurts to much ... ;o(

oh im so sorry to hear that, pain and not sleeping are two of the worst things.

would one of those wheat bags that you warm up in the microwave help?

I've got one round my neck at the moment Sticki ,I'm not sure if it cures but the warmth is comforting ..........

it possibly helps inflamation and eases muscles?? but otherwise i agree, it doesnt cure but anything that feels vaguely more comforting is well worth it.
you have my sympathy. i do hope you feel better soon.
put your feet up and have some nice chocolate.

Hi Ami, I do not know exactly what is wrong with you (antibiotics for stiffed neck?).
Do you have tolperisone (that is international name as trademark can be different in the UK) in the U.K. as OTC drug? If yes, take 150 mg three times daily for three days, it will be OK. I doubt that you have ointment with the poison from rattlesnake there. It works absolutely perfectly in all kind of musculo-skeletal pains.
Otherwise, wish you will soon feel better.

Kat I have Pleurisy ! the stiff neck has come about from trying to get comfortable because I can't lie down to sleep and I'm sooo tired .. I don't know if we have Tolperisone over her I haven't heard of it , I will look it up on Google ... I'm pleased to say we don't have Rattlesnakes here either LOL...

He must love you very much :o)))

Hi Ami, sorry to hear that you have pleurisy. Now I noticed (did not notice it before) that you said it at the very beginning :)
I suppose you have dry pleurisy if you have pains while breathing. I would recommend to you to lay with the upper half of the body elevated and on that side, which is afflicted. Painful are movements of pleura, so by layin on afflicted side you reduce those movements a little bit. Now I understand your stiffed neck, it is reflex from irritation of pleura. I would recommend you codein in higher doses. That rattlesnake ointment is also perfect thing for pains like you have as it works like anesthetics. Has no side effects. In Slovakia we have two farms with rattlesnakes which are used for medical purposes - as it heals inflammed joints, hemorrhoids, brings quick relieve in muscle spasms and is event perfect for inflammed varices. I have had very good experienc with that for years. I am respiratory specialist, by the way. Good luck and wish you early recovery.

Those are lovely flowers to help you feel better, Amy ... even if your OH is not good at cooking he's very thoughtful! ... I hope you have a speedy recovery ... and as you say it is far better to feel poorly now than in the height of Summer ... :o)

He is thoughtful Shirley and he is improving with the cooking he did sausage and mash last night with veg. anything is good if you don't have to do it yourself ! :o)
