That's interesting Sandra I have 3 young ones approx 2 years old I will have a go at layering them this year or is that to soon do you think .. they have flower buds on them like yours ...

I'm not sure Amy,as I can't remember how old the original one was,when I did it..it took a while to 'take',but I then potted it up and had it in a tub at first,before planting it out..

I will play it by ear Sandra and keep looking to see if there are any pieces long enough to layer , you can't lose anything by trying can you :o)

go for it ,Amy..! Don't get down on your hands and knees just yet..very soggy out there :o).It is here anyway..much milder but raining..glad to see the frost has gone..for now !

Thanks Homebird..It does so well there,as quite sheltered by a wall,and facing north,but the other one is west facing,but gets shielded from hot sun,by the shed..and both of them,from the damaging cold winds..:o)

That's another thing I must learn how to do, Bloomer - layer plants. There's Sooooo much I don't know!

This was the first time I ever tried it,Gattina..and haven't done it since ! :o)..well worth it,even though it took sooooooo long !....
