This is one of the many boards with nails that I had to remove before setting them out around the beds to be raised up.

Ooh, that looks nasty! When I used to be a Cub Leader, we'd take the Cubs camping - the woodpile was mostly old pallets or bits of them; we'd forbid the kids to go near it and would only go ourselves if we were wearing hiking boots or somethign with a similar stong sole

We were all very careful in the handling of all the planks & nobody even got a scratch as far as I'm aware.
I spent several hours & several days in knocking all the nails out. Most of them will no good for reuse but a few will be. I've got plenty of nails down on the allotment so I shan't really need to try & reuse the old nails. Many are too bent to be of further use. I'll have to bury them in the soil so they become a source of iron in the future! :-D) LOL!

make a nail sculpture? if you can fix 'em togethr, it can be a work in constant progress - and you never know, the Turner Committee might get to hear of it!
