...but I don't mind. The one at the top of the photo is the little chap with only one foot - he hangs out with the gang but never too close or they pick on him :(

As long as he doesn't go round in circles in the water GEE. Looks like a batchelor group. I quite often see a lone mallard in the river/culvert near here with a his fiancee. Keeping her out of the way of the lads. Plenty of weed for them to peck at and, a wide low bridge over the road to hide under. Then a deeper part where it goes to a natural stream.

One female hanging out with the guys, Dorjac, sitting just in front of the gargoyle :) Over the last week new arrivals have appeared on the village pond - a white duck plus three plain brown ones and several seagulls. All seem to be getting on well :)

This afternoon, just now, on the way to paper/post/ money and Dunelm Mill in that order. Mrs Duck or Ms now has 3 suitors in the river /culvert and there is a bit of seeing off going on.
