It looks nice...I like the big tree. Rained here but snowing again, so I fleeced my plants too late for some I think.

I think if you have a tree......live with it

It was overhanging their side, I know they are entitled but I still think it would be polite to ask! Its a copper beech.

There are lots of trees at the back of these gardens, I assume people who live here must like them??

One of the houses I lived in as a child has had it's Copper beech Listed. Everyone loves it but the coumcil they tried to fell it......And they lost....

Lovely shot Sticki...I'm sad coz there is no snow here (makes a change though :))
I came home from work this morning, went to bed hoping it would be lovely and white when I woke up. All we've had is wind and rain - so not fair!!!!

Maybe you will get some later? This is the first we have had and I don't think it's going to stay.

nice:) my snow is almost gone:(
it was raining here in the evening, frost at night - and guess what - all roads icy - we are stuck home. Don't want to risk going to work - too sleepery, lol

it is so deep here - drifted up the walls , doors and everything - looks pretty but does destroy

5 Feb, 2012

It's only on the ground this morning, I think it's melted from all the trees.

Still quite deep here Sticki though most of trees clear. It does look lovely doesn't it:-)

I've just heard that some of Daughter's friends are stuck out in the countryside with TWO METRES of snow. No roads open, no trains running, hospital barely running but unreachable, anyway, and unlikely to be any shops open tomorrow. All schools closed for the foreseeable future. I can't believe that some of you in the UK haven't had any snow yet. I wouldn't wish this "pretty stuff" on anybody.

only an inch or two Sticki. and it's melting very fast here..

Really pretty pic Sticki. All of you who have snow...keeep cosy!!!!!!!!
I drove through a blizzard on way to Dads yesterday then jsut rain up there, the on the way home there was nothing..but then about 10miles form here had to drive through some awful eerie fog..went through mostly all weather conditions yesterday.

OOO!!! Sticki I would love to put my footprint in that beautiful snow where no one has been :)

5 Feb, 2012

thank you everyone, the pretty bit is going, sadly, cos the trees are now bare.

Sue you can still put your footprints on the snow ~ still none there ~ not even the cats!!

I opened my back door this morning and the snow fell into the kitchen but the garden looked beautiful before I traipsed round refilling bird feeders and shaking snow off conifers! I forbid by grandchildren to walk anywhere but the path in the front garden because I like it to look nice for as long as possible :)

5 Feb, 2012

i know that feeling Gee but my cat has walked across the lawn now!! no grandchildren!! but i expect i will let them do what they like knowing me!!! so long as they do as they are told when i really mean it!!

We still have snow laying on the garden here Sticky. Clear sky this morning and very cold at the moment minus six degrees, but perhaps some sunshine will melt the snow.

There is a little snow still here, Thursday evening we had a bit more but the sun is out!

My son reckons it's minus 14 in Suffolk???

11 Feb, 2012

Makes one want to shiver.......

11 Feb, 2012

still looks like this except the sun is out now and its not night!!!

11 Feb, 2012

A lot of the snow has melted and most of the pavements are o.k. today. Still snow on the gardens.
