Thanks! Well, the highs for the last 4 days have only been 62ºF/17ºC. Although, today it's suppose to be 68ºF/20ºC.,which is close to normal for this time of year. But, it's a far cry from the 80's/27ºC temps we've had most of the winter. Feel sorry for us here in San Diego.

Thanks! My African tulip tree in the ground lost its last flowers a week ago. It had been blooming since May of 2011.

We're called spoiled San Diegans. lol!

Yes, we do get very cold when the daytime temps in winter do not rise above 70ºF/21ºC. (which is our normal high temp for January and most of February).

Yes, it was...although, yesterday and today are going to be nice and warm....then cool again. However, next week back up to the mid 70's, perfect!

Yes, it is! It's a very difficult flower to photograph because the flowers are so bright.

My new camera captures red colors better than my older camera, which used to make the red colors look orange.

I have many photos of this tree in full bloom, also. For some reason it appears it's more popular here in California than even in the tropics. It's a grafted or cutting-grown tree only.
