Wow, they've got my mouth watering, Amy. Makes me wish I had a bigger freezer :)

oh wow! *close eyes and inhale deeply* we need "scent" option online - well, now and then!
pasties and a pie, too?? you could be at the start of a new business ...
21 Feb, 2012
Gee I need a bigger freezer myself I had a job to sqeeze these in ... this is probably how some businesses do get started Fran , there's a pie van outside Sansbury's homebase they claim to have a secret recipe They only make them Friday and Saturday and always sell out ....
21 Feb, 2012
me and you have the secret recipe Amy, wait until me and your OH get our van
21 Feb, 2012
They look delicious,Amy..I could just manage one of those for tea tonight..I bet it won't be long before we are all making some...:o)..
21 Feb, 2012
Sounds good Val we will pick a busy lay by I make some good soup as well , what is Ralph going to do roll his trouser legs up to lure people in ??
21 Feb, 2012
he's got a lovely pair of legs Amy, I made leek and potatoe soup today for lunch, and making meat and potatoe pie for tea tonight,
21 Feb, 2012
Well if you make some as well Sandra we will have to choose a lay- by somewhere in the middle of the country to meet up you will have your hands full keeping Russell's eyes off Vals mini skirt ... LOL...
21 Feb, 2012
Leek and potato is my favourite Val ..I'll be there in a mo ......
21 Feb, 2012
lol I got a freezer so that I could make my own meals in batches and cook them one at a time, but it's so full of stuff to make meals with that there's no room for the meals that result, since I can't crowbar them in as I can with boxes of ingredients
21 Feb, 2012
You will have to start using some of the stuff up and making meals Fran , I thought you were going to offer to take care of our pies for us in your freezer because you had some spare room .. ....
21 Feb, 2012
lol I'd take care of 'em gladly, but not in the freezer ...
21 Feb, 2012
LOL I guessed you would say that Fran !
21 Feb, 2012
Lol,Amy..now wouldn't that be a sight in a lay-by ! How many cars would veer off the road trying to see what's going on ? ..oo er ! They wouldn't believe we were pastie selling, that's for sure :o))
21 Feb, 2012
Hehehe Amy Charlie din't last to long then, although he seams to have filled a few pies for you..
What time you dishing up then?? LOL
21 Feb, 2012
Delicious, as ever Amy. Is Yorkshire's recipe secret or can I find it :-) Love your leek and potato soup - probably make some tomorrow in fact. x
21 Feb, 2012
Sandra we could sell them pasties while they were waiting for the break down trucks LOL...
Oh Mushy ~~ I was hoping you wouldn't spot Charlie ! now would I do a thing like that to poor Charlie ... You are welcome to a pastie anytime I'll save one for you ;o))
Hi Dawn , you can find the recipe for the pasties on Yorkshires blog they are really good plus she tells us they freeze well ,I hope so 'cos I've made enough for an army .....x

Dawn, I've asked Yorkshire, in a comment on her photo, to do a recipe blog, ingredients, method etc. fingers crossed. The info's in various posts, but not all in one place to copy and paste to one's PC
22 Feb, 2012
Mine are packed in the freezer ,I'm not sure how long for ,I've a feeling we will be dipping into them quite often .. The pie was delicious with some chips and peas last night . :o)
22 Feb, 2012
awww, that's rubbing it in, Amy! I'll have to have a go, but doubt mine will be fit for publication
22 Feb, 2012
Amy so glad you enjoyed the pasties and the pie, Fran has asked me to do the recipe on a blog, which I will do later for anyone who wants to try them,
22 Feb, 2012
I'm sure a lot of people would like it Val ... it's deff very acceptable and so delicious .........
22 Feb, 2012
they look fabulous Amy :-)
22 Feb, 2012
They are good Slad ,well worth making and lots in the freezer :o)
22 Feb, 2012
Are they filled with something, Amy?
26 Feb, 2012
LOL yes Kat , it's not all hot air :o)) They are made from Yorkshires recipe and very good they are to !
26 Feb, 2012
But what do they contain, Amy? We do something very similar, but filled with plum jam/nuts with sugar/sheep cheese.
26 Feb, 2012
Kat they are filled with 3/4 lb minced beef 3/4 lb Lamb mince very finely chopped carrots/ onions/ potatoes plus 2-3 beef oxo cubes , you put those ingredients into a large bowl mix together and then leave overnight , the next day you make your pastry putting the mixture into them .. bake for 50 mins egg washing before and half way through cooking ...
The ones you make sound like delicious sweet pasties I'm tempted to try that with some of my home made blackcurrant jam :o)
26 Feb, 2012
its really delicious Amy, i want some bites, lol!
