I only have got mosquitos in my garden:(

I have had the whole hive in my small garden, living in an old garage brick wall for almost ten years. I gave it up to destroy them. I tried it with chemical and then fire, but nothing helped. Then one old gardener told me, be happy, at least you will have a good harvest. And I usually have :)

Surely this must be unheard of? What I mean is - to see a bee on a snowdrop at this time of the year?!

They must especially like snowdrops Petal. We saw loads of them on the snowdrops at Hadlow the other day.

Saw a big fat bumble bee today... I noticed a flowering currant in full flower and the Daff's are out. It seems there is plenty of pollen for them.

After watching the Sarah Raven program last night Im definately going for more single flowers in the borders this year. Bees especially, make the garden seem alive.

Well said Poppy! If you like fancy doubles plant them and enjoy them, but plant singles next to them...
