Thanks everyone for your comments. I squeezed two plants into each 'pocket' and put all the remaining ones in the top. I think it looks a little sparse but the violas were in those polystyrene plug things and seemed squashed in, so I'm hoping they will spread a little. If not, I'll have to put something else in with them.
Sue, it's quite a narrow pot and would probs look OK on a doorstep.
