I take it this is a perennial, Bloomer? I used to have the biennials in my garden every year, but you don't find them here. The scent is so delicious, so this year I've bought seed to raise our own, and also ordered some of the perennials, which should do well in our climate, I hope. It's pictures like this that spur me on! Lovely, lovely plants.

I think it is only Biennial,Gattina..but I take cuttings every couple of years,as I like this colour...it wil be time again this year...but if these bush out again after cutting back after flowering,I will keep them as well...Thank you for you nice comment :o)

I hadn't realised you can take cuttings from biennials, B, I thought it was only the heavy perennial mob. Anyway, I am looking forward to see what my Sarah Raven seeds produce next spring, if I manage to keep them alive that long!

Well,I was under the impression they were biennial,Gattina..you have set the old grey matter thinking now..anyway,whatever they are,the tip cuttings don't let me down..I know some say to throw them away and buy new,but when you're a Yorkshire lass,it will never happen ! Lol. just a scheme to get you to spend.. did I just see a moth trying to get out of my purse ? :o)

They are lovely Bloomer, I always leave mine in and take cuttings in late winter, I found they took better, I do collect the seed as well and throw it on the garden in my spare space, I get the best of both that way.

I've never collected seed,Sue..they seem easy to propagate both ways then ..good tip :o)

Love the smell of wallflowers. Ours are in bud at the moment. Didn't know that you could take cuttings of these. I have a mauve perennial one that I take cuttings from every year.
