I have extended the little planting area around the pond and planted lots of little plants including Aubretias, Sedum. Primula, Bacoupa and Campanula, unfortunately something has had a go at nibbling and digging them up, so have put down a layer of small pebbles hope it works!

That's a pretty area, Carole.
Is "something" nibbling all the plants, or just some types ?

Carole do you have problems keeping the water clear in your little pond , we put a small pond in like yours 2/3 years ago after the grandsons bought 2 goldfish ,they needed somewhere to put them , it needs to be cleaned out so often we have some plants in that are suppose to keep it clear they don't keep it clear for very long , is there a secret ?

No Sandra not Harry nt to his taste lol
Amy I do get a lot of blanket weed, even though I have water oxyegenating plants, but it doesnt take long to clean it out. I rather like doing it, a bit like fishing lol

Thanks Carole ,it's not bad management on our part then , the goldfish are called Wells and Blakeny two of the boys favourite sea side places , it amazes me they have been in there with ice inches thick at times and they still survive :o))

Pleased they are surviving Amy, thats the worst of small ponds mine froze solid and so did my one and only Froggy poor thing!
