Very pretty garden. Stickie sent me a message to look at your blogs, said they would be right up my street, especially the diary.

Lovely garden, we lost our Victoria a few years back, it had rotted in the main trunk and became dangerous so had to go for safety reasons, we replaced with a different one and although a very good fruiting one they are not as nice...

I don't know haw long this will stand - at the moment it's a good feeding station. I was so sad when it died - we have had a lot of jams and crumbles from it!

A lovely garden and I love the shapes of old fruit trees.

Thank you, Stroller! I am hoping the old tree will hold up long enough to enjoy for a few more years.

Hey! it's a birdfeeder tree!!!! Do they multiply?:))
Such a good use for an old tree.

Thanks, Shirl! I haven't worked out how to propagate one yet! It's very popular with the local birds, though. Even the woodpecker has found it. I suppose it'll just fall down eventually, but I hope I'll have it for a few years. I have planted a Montana and a honeysuckle to climb through it. They'll either help hold it up, or pull it down - time will tell!
