Yes the label is yellow and there were others in bloom and full yellow flowers .

It really is...the way the flowers change colour as they age...it's a lovely one. Mine looking a bit dubious this year Kath...I might have to move it I think. Lots of flowers, but very 'loose' and the foliage looking unhealthy and yellowing.....and it's been fed with Glendoick feed. Bad drainage is the issue I think....as usual!

That is a stunning rhododendron! Do they open red and turn yellow?

Rkwright, I saw one in the GC yesterday - The buds were a soft cerise pink and then the flower was a beautiful yellow/cream. Sorry, but I can't remember the variety name.

A few years ago I was able to find some interesting rhododendron varieties but never picked any up because I didn't have a place for them at the time. Ever since then, the nursery I usually go to has been having trouble getting a better variety of rhododendrons in. Hopefully that will change this year!
