Smaller Clematis suitable for a container. Will need protection in the winter.

Wow, that looks really great. I have one in a container not nearly as good as this, but only planted it last Autumn so will have to be patient.

I like the idea of these shorter clematis. My climbers tend to be best viewed from indoors and upstairs.

Very like the Oberon I have...Many more flowers though, when I was choosing between the two it came down to the extra flowers(Pixie) or the extra scent(Oberon) as they were almost the same flower to look at I went for the scent. But this is such a good display I am no longer sure.....Lol

Its very well behaved for the amount of space it takes up Pimp!

Thanks all...
Poppylover - I can't take the credit for this - I bought it already in bud! Chose the one in the shop with the least amount of flowers - and it has treated me to these :)
Scotsgran....I think keeping this in a container will be easier to protect in the winter - this is sitting on my decking where I can enjoy it :)
Pimpernel....they only had this one when I bought it - so didn't have a choice. Although admittedly - I probably wouldn't have checked for the scent anyway :)

I tend not to buy plants which need to come in for the winter because I don't relly have anywhere to keep them.

Good news is that Pixi is scented as well Scottish remember to have a sniff. Oberon is a small patio size as well Poppy,I will be leaving it outside Gran, they have to fend for themselves.

Pim considering the begonias I planted in baskets and hung outside under the pergola survived the hail and snow we had on Tuesday evening, and the frost, during the night, I probably could risk leaving it under the pergola. I'll definitely want to look out for a scented one.

Thanks HB - the flowers are tiny too - obviously that's why they named it Pixie :)
