Young blackbird

And they are so big! I had one the other day, trailing after mum, begging for food and it was bigger than mum.

yes they're so big and plump - this one was just so chilled sat there - opened its beak up - couldn't feed it don't know how they take it, parents no doubt watching

Dottydaisy, they look often fatty, but usuallu it is just feathers. In fact they are very fragile creatures.

Our blackbirds were feeding young but not seen them at all in the garden. Wondered if the larger birds had taken them.
