you have a beautiful garden!

Wow what a gorgeous garden, it looks so spacious you can fit my front garden in a shoe box lol

31 May, 2012

I was going to say wow too Spritz as you really do have a lovely garden.

I'm running behind again so have taken to just saying I like instead of commenting. Thank you for showing us around your garden. I have enjoyed seeing how it is all blooming.

Thanks- I do appreciate your lovely comments! :-))

shee! the only thing greener than your garden is me, sitting here looking at it! There must be a hell of a lot of work gone into that idyllic scene.

you and me both, Pansy - and in my case without taking the shoes out first!

stunning view :)))))

Thanks - this is about half the front garden, then there's the side garden and a small back garden - so I do have my work cut out, you see! :-))

1 Jun, 2012

Wow! What a picture....that is sort of 'heavenly' B! :))

1 Jun, 2012

It's what I look at from my bedroom window seat every morning. :-))

I feel a blog coming on...

1 Jun, 2012

It is so romantic B....just a perfect country garden. :)

1 Jun, 2012

You see it through different eyes, of course. I do love it though, as you well know. :-))

1 Jun, 2012

:) me too!

That was why I wondered whether a 'tour' of the whole garden might be interesting for you? I can't get very many 'elevated' views though, because there aren't any upstairs windows on the side of the house.

2 Jun, 2012

Yes, we all would! :D

2 Jun, 2012

That is beautiful - but it looks like an awful lot of work!

2 Jun, 2012

It sure is, Gattina! But as I love it, it's worth it.

what's really depressing is when you see a garden that's used for growing weeds, or is used as the local rubbish dump; one can understand that some people can't garden, through physical condition, work or temperament, but even getting the council to cut the grass once a year would be something!

A different set of priorities, I guess, Fran. But it' such a waste of an opportunity to have beautiful surroundings and therapy! I can think of people who would be all too grateful for outside space. I think we should count ourselves lucky to have the means and the mindset (No, I don't necessarily mean money) and the inspiration of people like Spritz.

Thank you - and I do know what you mean. When I walk around our little hamlet, I'm amazed at the state of some of the so-called 'gardens'. Such a wasted opportunity!

2 Jun, 2012

When I lived on the 7th floor, I could look out over all those jungles, and I could have wept - and did a bit, in fact! But I don't think they'd have taken kindly to someone knocking on their door and offering to do up their garden for them.

3 Jun, 2012

You'd have had a full-time job, anyway, if they'd taken you up on your offer! ;-z

3 Jun, 2012

lol indeed, and it'd probably be, "thanks for doing our garden, now push off!"

4 Jun, 2012

Well, your reward would have been seeing the results of your handiwork, wouldn't it. How I'd love to get going on next door's so-called 'garden'! (sigh).

Wonderful views, you really do have your work cut out and heres me fretting about a few square metres!! Inspirational !!! X I agree it is sad to see gardens go to waste, just cutting the grass doesn't take long. My local school now has a community garden that is really taking off! Community gardening is the way forward. I've been offered the use of mr 2 doors ups neglected greenhouse tonight!! He's not as fit as he used to be and has turfed over a few veg beds. He's seen me potting about and said its doing nothing he would like to see it in use, think I will cheer his front garden up for him in return, and it will be an asset to the community garden!

There you are, you see, gardening is a wonderful thing - soul therapy and social enabler. It's a wonderful way to make friends and improve one's environment, too. All round wonder medicine!

5 Jun, 2012

Good for you, Magnadoodle. I'm so pleased to hear that, it'll make a bug difference to your area. :-))

5 Jun, 2012

I contacted the vicar of the church round the corner to suggest a communal garden project, I've got dozens of packets of seeds that I can't use otherwise: he said he'd get back to me - but as that was about three months ago and I've not heard yet ...

6 Jun, 2012

And you probably won't, either.:o(

6 Jun, 2012

What a waste. :-(

6 Jun, 2012

ah well, any day now there'll be a list of seeds going spare on Goy ...

8 Jun, 2012

Well, I haven't sown any this year, so I have plenty too!

8 Jun, 2012

LOoking forward to seed day .... Really want some coleanth and aquilegia for next year, will o a blog of our community garden over next few days x

8 Jun, 2012

Cerinthe not coleanth....that's a fish ( I think)

8 Jun, 2012

I'll save you some seeds from mine.

9 Jun, 2012

I'll try to remember not to "tidy up" and keep the seed heads on my aquilegia until I can collect some for you. Anyone out there got any white ones?

9 Jun, 2012

Yes, me! :-))

9 Jun, 2012

You know I've always liked you, Spritz............;o)

9 Jun, 2012
