thanks for your comments guys.it was very scary.i have only just moved here,i have never seen anything like it.the brook over flowed in quite a few places Leigh-anne.when the rain stopped, it went away in a few hour back into the brook.

it was heavy rain and very windy last night here in stoke.i was quite scared when i got in bed,but every thing ok when i got up.thank goodness.thanks Pimpernel.
