well if it wasnt for the long black wriggly thing that is lurking i might want to be there too!! not warm enough to be sitting outside here!

That is definitely a grass snake Lulu, harmless exept for fish, frogs and tadpolesi am afraid.
However we have at least 2 livings grass snakes, - after Jesse killed her 2nd one this week - and many western whips, both sorts eat amphibians but every year we have masses of surviving froglets, so it evens itself out usually. Your Perry is probably in hiding!

Resi, I wish that was my snake...mine is defo black. Just rang waterworld, they say it will eat my fish. Perry never hides, he's far too curious and friendly...but you never know.
Can't find my snake at all...the dogs can smell it though!
