Unknown Clem

That is a beauty. The deep colour and the yellow centre makes me think its a Clematis 'Niobe'?

Could that be Niobe?

I had a very similar one in the previous garden . It was called Voluceau.... don't know if this is the same but it is very similar.

I think the petals are to elongated to be 'niobe'??...and i thought 'Voluceau' was a purply red....But it sure is nice Meanie...:>)

I think it may be Niobe, lovely one anyway...

I'll post another photo up in a day or two to see if that helps................
