i meant to rescue some but as i have only seen the odd few here and there this year i didnt have the heart to take them out, maybe nxt year.

hymantoglosum what?
One of the most beautiful terrestrial orchids (to my opininon) there are thousends of them in my place.
hymantoglosum caprinum.

hi Bik, it is a Himantoglossum, but not a caprinum, this is the Himantoglossum hircinum variety, they are greener and i think not quite so spectecular as yours.
i have never seen your variety yet, dont think they grow here.
