I think animals are such good companions and comfort to everybody, especially the elderly. Nice to know the home allows the cat there. :))

It's nice for elderly people to have pets in residential homes. They should have whatever they'd have in their own home really. I worked a lot with people in homes ... it made me sad. I was glad when I left.

One of my friends daughter as a rest home and they have two cats and the elderly love them, i called my Jack P C at first it was short for Pussycat,but everyone kept telling me to give him a name, but to be honest i quite liked P C :)))

Animals are said to be very calming & I believe there are some dogs that are taken to hospitals & homes, for visits. Good for the patients.

yes they certainly are. there is one man there who is allowed to have his dog there too :)

Pleased to hear that - so many have to give up their pets if they have to go into a home. It's so sad.
